From the Nippon Baseball Kimono Collection, an important archive of baseball and other sports-themed kimonos recently discovered in Japan and exported to the United States. Compiled over many decades, they are the finest we have seen. Beautiful kimono that features images of cute, pudgy cartoon like baseball players. Some have a blue uniform and a "W " on their caps, signifying Waseda University, and others have a brown uniform and a "K" on their caps, signifying Keio University, the biggest baseball rival of Waseda - in a rivalry that's been going on since 1903. The kimono is mostly green, tan, and light blue. A woman's kimono, regular size. Has a wonderful belt (obi). Nice "Menko" look. Slight stain on obi.
