Outstanding Buck Leonard bat used during 1948 Negro National League batting title season. This remarkable Hillerich and Bradsby Len Okrie model bat has "Okrie" in block letters on the barrel and "D2" stamped on the knob. D2 labeling period was 1946-48 so Leonard may have used this bat during that three year span. The bat is 35" long, weighs 33.2 ounces and shows excellent use with numerous marks on the barrel. Leonard authenticated this bat and wrote "I used this bat when I won the Negro National League batting title in 1948" on the barrel in black ink and signed "Walter Buck Leonard, Homestead Grays, 1933-1950." Comes from the private collection of the President to the Negro Leagues Players Association, Richard Berg and a PSA GU 8.5 Letter of Authenticity.
