Early cartoonist and radio personality Harry Hershfield spent his many days creating works for publications such as: New York Daily Mirror, Chicago Daily News, San Francisco Chronicle, New York Evening Journal, and many other famous outlets. At the early age of fourteen he produced his first series called "Homeless Hector," which was utilized by the Chicago Daily News in 1899.
