From the magical year of Babe Ruth and the New York Yankees brought to life in this graphic wonder. One of only two examples known to exist, this half-sheet poster measures a perfectly displayable and most desirable 22x28". Perhaps the greatest find ever of the two intersecting categories of movie posters and baseball, as well as one of the most desirable of sports movie posters, anything related to Babe Comes Home is not only rare, but also in the pantheon of aesthetics. This is considered to be the most visual of all the surviving pieces from this movie and its half-sheet size is the most collectible of sizes. Thus, this represents a "holy grail" for both baseball and movie poster collectors alike. Babe Comes Home was produced in 1927 to capitalize on his 60 home run season and his leadership of his '27 squad as the greatest team ever. It was also the first time the Babe came even more alive (since his silent debut in Headin' Home), and could be heard on screen. The poster is deftly restored to near-perfection. All of the colors are bold and vibrant and the piece features a museum-quality poster-board backing. EX-MT in appearance.
