Tremendous artifact from the "Granddaddy of Them All", this is the program from the 1916 Rose Bowl - the second ever held. The Rose Bowl was first held in 1902, and the program from that game is also available in this auction, but was not brought back annually until after its second edition. The Rose Bowl earned its nickname because it is the oldest college bowl game, historically pitting the winners of the Pac-12 and Big Ten conferences against one another in the stadium of the same name. This program is in NM condition, absolutely beautiful, with no creases. The cover reads "Official Souvenir Program, Tournament of Roses, Midwinter Floral Parade, Intercollegiate Football, Pasadena Cal., Jan. 1st 1916." Washington State defeated Brown 14-0 in the game.
