A terrific bat, this was wielded by Stan "The Man" Musial during the prime of his career, dating to the early 1950s. Measuring 34.5" and weighing 30.6 ounces, the handle is shaved to make it just a little thinner - something the Hall of Famer would have done - and is cracked just above the handle, which also has some remnants of pine tar. Fabulous use is displayed on this H&B Model M117, with deep ball seem impressions on the barrel along with bat rack marks. There is an "X" on the knob in black marker along with model number, and the bat was cracked while the Cardinals were playing the Reds at Crosley Field. After winning the MVP title in 1948, Stan continued to tear up the National League in the early '50s, as from 1950-53 the lowest batting average he recorded was .336
