This very nice H and B Model O1S bat was ordered and used by Hall of Famer Richie Ashburn only in the 1955 season. Measuring 35" and 32 ounces, it carries terrific use with scarred handle and barrel, plenty of ball marks on the barrel and also a few cleat marks. A light "1" is on the knob of this uncracked specimen, dating to the season in which the centerfielder led the league with a .338 average for the Philadelphia Phillies. Ashburn's number "1" has been retired by the Phillies, as The Tilden Flash played the first dozen of his 15 Major League seasons in the City of Brotherly Love.
