In reply to a letter that was passed onto him, Gerald Ford writes this letter on Congressional stationary to a Mr. Thayer, thanking him and expressing his liking of a letter in support of President Nixon. In the letter Ford, points out a statement Thayer had made "...we must put away our own personal selfishness and disappointment and move shoulder to shoulder for the common good".
