In 1958, Dodgers owner Walter O'Malley made the controversial decision to transplant the Brooklyn Dodgers to Los Angeles, a move for which he has been simultaneously praised and vilified almost to this day. O'Malley took control of the Dodgers in 1950 and oversaw one of the most successful periods in the team's history. The Dodgers won their first World Series in 1955, but despite their profitability during this time went ahead with the move to Los Angeles, where they would win three more World Series in their first seven years. This fantastically rare baseball has been single-signed by O'Malley, who seldom signed balls and passed away in 1979. The MacGregor ball has toned a little bit with age but we still consider it to be near EX. It has a big "Walter F. O'Malley" signature right on the sweet spot in 7.5/10 black pen. Comes with PSA LOA. O'Malley was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2008. This is only the second of its kind that we have handled.
