No one player has ever won more world championships in American team sports as Bill Russell did with the Boston Celtics between 1956-69. The anchor of the C's dynasty, Russell was a fearsome force in the paint, helping him win five MVP awards en route to 11 titles. When he wasn't blocking shots, the Hall of Fame center loved to relax on the links. This lot contains SEVEN signed and personally used golf club sets; (2) Black "Ping" set with 14 clubs, black & white plaid "Crospete" set with 14 clubs, custom black "Bag Boy" with 14 clubs, red "Precise" set with 6 clubs, white leather "Ping" set with 15 clubs & with "Bill Russell" custom printed on pocket, and a black/grey carbon fiber accent "Bag Boy" set with 15 clubs. Each were personally designed and used by Russell and all are inscribed "Personal Use." Each shows tons of use and also contain personal golf balls, tees, receipts and other little treasures.
