It only lasted a decade (1967-76), but no basketball fan will ever forget the thrilling and entertaining ABA, whose roots are partly responsible for today's modern pro game. This fabulous assemblage only underscores the league's magnitude and appeal. Included are an amazing collection of programs and pictorials: 1) MEDIA GUIDES (8) - No Punch holes: 1968-69 Kentucky Colonels, 1973-74 (Utah Stars, Carolina Cougars), 1974-75 (NY Nets, Indiana Pacers, Spirits of St. Louis, Denver Nuggets) and 1976 Denver Nuggets playoffs. 2) MEDIA GUIDES (14)- binder punch holes: 1971-72 (Dallas Chaparrals, Denver Rockets, New York Nets, Kentucky Colonels, Pittsburgh Condors, Utah Stars, Indiana Pacers, Carolina Cougars, Memphis Pros, Miami Floridians), 1972-73 (Utah Stars, Denver Rockets, Dallas Chaparrals) and 1973-74 New York Nets. 3) PROGRAMS (14): Eleven from the 1968-69 season with many pure ABA color variations. Three different Nets as well (1975-76). 4) ALL-STAR PROGRAMS (6): 1971 (rough), 1972-76 Run range EX-MT to MT. 4) PLAYOFF PROGRAMS (10): 1968-69 Miami Floridians "newspapers" (vs. Pacers and Minn Pipers), 1976 Denver-NY, 1974 Utah Stars, 1973 Denver-Indiana, 1971 Utah-Kentucky, 1973-74 San Antonio Spurs, 1975 Indiana-Kentucky, 1974 Kentucky-NY, 1973 Kentucky-NY. Most are NM or better. 5) ABA PICTORIALS (3): Run with 1968-69, 1969-70, 1970-71. 6) PHOTOS: 1969-70 Cougars team-issue photo print set in original envelopes, 1975 Indiana Pacers photos with Roger Brown (4), two Pittsburgh Pipers team-issue photo sets both with recently departed Connie Hawkins (1967-68 & 1968-69, 20 total), 1968 Pipers March of Dimes promo & Dallas team photo. A truly great collection of ABA publications and pictures.
