This Hillerich and Bradsby model U1 with "21" in marker on the knob is a Roberto Clemente signature model with "ALL STAR GAME ATLANTA-1972" on the barrel. It shows light use but there are a few ball marks on the barrel along with some streaks from the bat rack and a very, very faint Clemente hand-signed autograph with personalization. There are two small nicks in the wood on the barrel of this 36", 37 oz classic. Unfortunately, Clemente did not play in that 4-3 National League win on July 25, 1972, in Atlanta. It was to be his last All-Star game selection, as he was tragically killed in a December 31st plane crash while on a mission of mercy to aid earthquake survivors in Nicaragua.
