Here are the only specimens known of this incredible pair of Hartford Senators photos with a 20-year old baby-faced Henry Louis Gehrig at the New Haven Baseball Grounds: 1) Incredible 1923 Hartford Senators Eastern League Champions team photo sports Larrupin' Lou at bottom row, fourth from the left. Measures 6.25x9.5", with creasing and small, mostly edges. Photo was used in publishing the 1923 Senators program (see photo). Program not included. 2) Thrilling image of the 1924 Hartford Senators on Opening Day, the cherished raising of the (unseen) championship flag. Gehrig is the one player slightly in the back behind his teammates. Measures 4.75x6.75", with some condition issues as shown. We believe these likely came from the publisher originally as one was used to publish the 1923 Hartford Senators game program. These are incredibly important images that have few equals or comparisons. Except for similar Babe Ruth Providence Reds or Baltimore Orioles images which have brought in the tens of thousands though seen once or twice. And having played but a dozen games at Hartford, his images are even rarer.
