You'll have to do more than Spend a Buck to earn this classic statue. Jim Reno is a noted sculptor of primarily western themes, and his works have appeared in the White House and the National Museum of Racing. This bronze of 1985 Kentucky Derby winner Spend A Buck is mounted on a wood base and shows the thoroughbred from the neck up. Signed by the artist and engraved, "Spend A Buck, 2/15 1988," it is in EX condition and comes from the collection of Spend A Buck owner, the late Dennis Diaz. The base measures 10x10", and the tip of the ear on this very heavy piece is a full 19" from base to top. A class piece commemorating a great champion.
