Rose made some ground breaking plays and impressed fans of all stripes. In 1975, Rose earned multiple awards as professional athlete of the year. This four-page contract comes with matching letter and original envelope addressed to Mr. Pete Rose, both on Cincinnati Reds, Inc letterhead. The asks him to take a reduction from 1974 and says "A most careful and thorough review of your season that of the club does justify a cut." The contract is signed by Richard Wagner, Vice President Administrative, is for $130,000, and is Pete's copy (thus, it is not signed by him but of course it belonged to him).
