Here's a first. From the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin comes this presentational vase that we have never handled before. Standing 7.6 inches tall and 5.7 inches wide at the top, the outstanding work of art features German Reich eagle with swastika and Olympic rings above. There are images of a diver, discus thrower, boxers, shot putter and runner around the circumference of the vase, and each image is etched into the crystal, as well as the wording. The piece is in NRMT condition and recalls a dark time in history when Adolph Hitler attended the games, using them as a means to promote his twisted agenda of racial superiority. Jesse Owens' Gold Medal success at the games infuriated the Fuhrer, who descended further into madness and evil.
