Babe Didrikson was one of the first woman's athlete celebrities, as she achieved gold and silver in track and field at the 1932 Los Angles Olympics. In 1938 she became the first ever woman to compete in the Los Angeles Open, a men's PGA tournament, and she was ultimately a golf superstar in the 1940s and 1950s. This framed presentation includes the original 1932 Olympic silk cloth patch from her LA Olympic uniform, and her original business card circa 1936. She had come to Cincinnati to sign a contract with P. Goldsmith Sons Co. and had taken a shine to the daughter of the family, giving her these mementos. Sadly, Babe died prematurely at the age of 45. Objects are displayed with the letter, measures 14x21" and overall condition is NRMT.
