After a 22-year career pitching in the major leagues, Gaylord Perry finally hung up the cleats for good after the 1983 season. The five-time All-Star and eventual Hall of Famer spent his last year with the Kansas City Royals, going 4-4 with a 4.27 ERA after having been acquired from Seattle. This very well could be the last home jersey he ever wore on a big-league field as his last two career starts were home games for KC against the A's and Angels. Perry brought the jersey home with him but can't state definitively that it was his last, though it certainly was one of his last since he only pitched seven times for the Royals at home. The all-original white jersey has a Wilson Size 46 tag in the collar and "83" year tag on front tail. "PERRY" is sewn directly on the back with "36" below. There are signs of use with dirt stains on the front. It is signed "Gaylord Perry Game Used."
