An impressive collection, this lot leads with a 1976 note from noted early autograph collector Ron Gordon asking: "When did you realize that if Jackie Robinson WON your shortstop job, he deserved it regardless of color." Fascinating reply: "That's hard to say - I wouldn't have liked it if anyone had my job at S.S. Color would have nothing to do with it. I had a great deal of admiration for Jackie - He was a fine person - Pee Wee." With original Hillerich & Bradsby envelope signed "Pee Wee Reese" and JSA cert. Other Reese autographs here include 1984 HOF Induction program and Happy Birthday Ebbets tribute (modern photo). Plus, 1955 Congressional Testimonial for Pee Wee Reese Night, 1955 telegram right after winning World Series to have him on Wave TV FIRST, Type I promo still of 1968 NBC broadcasting team (Pee Wee, Curt Gowdy, and Sandy Koufax), and "Pee Wee Belongs in The Hall Bumper Sticker."
