The Silver Slugger Award is given each year to the best offensive player for each position in both the American League and the National League, as agreed upon by the coaches and managers of Major League Baseball. Since 1980, the silver bat has been provided by the manufacturers of the "Louisville Slugger" and is usually engraved with the names of each of the winners from the league. This one is a prototype of the bat presented, measuring 33.75 inches long, weighing 28.5 ounces, and with the standard "Louisville Slugger 125" engraved into the silver. The bat is extremely smooth, silver plated, and has some minor scratching. Condition is EX+ overall.
