This is a premium set from 1934 following Max Baer's June 1933 victory over Germany’s Max Schmeling at New York’s Yankee Stadium. Schmeling was said to be a favorite of Germany’s new chancellor, Adolf Hitler, so it carried special meaning that Baer was of Jewish heritage, and wore on his boxing trunks a Star of David. Lot includes the 11x15.5" newspaper full color page with the cereal premium mail-in-coupon, facsimile signed 8x10" photo print and the original envelope from Quaker Oats. Overall condition is EX-MT for this rare historic ensemble.
