Captured in time from a memorable 1948 bout, featuring Sugar Ray Robinson verses future World Champion Kid Gavilan in a close, controversial 10-round fight. Gavilan was able to injure Robinson during the fight, but this photo displays Robinson's ultimate control of the final rounds, with his series of jabs and left hooks. This vintage gelatin print is a type 1, and the finest example from this fight we have ever seen. Photo measures 8x10" and is in perfect Mint condition.
