An awe-inspiring circa 1910s felt pennant, this comes direct from the estate of Roger Bresnahan. Massive in size, it measures 15x35", with a 16" photograph on cloth of sweet baby teddy bear mascot on chain held by a disarming Roger Bresnahan, beloved baseball icon. Pennant was presented to Bresnahan for his exploits with the Cubs thus, the only one ever in existence from the pioneer period when the Teddy Bear was first introduced by Richard Steiff, aptly inspired by Theodore Roosevelt. The image on the pennant is strikingly vivid and clear. One of finest baseball pennants ever discovered therefore truly a Hall of Fame caliber piece. Condition is Excellent overall with light soiling on the body of the pennant. Comes with a letter from the family signed by the player's grand-nephew.
