Straight from the archives of the San Francisco Examiner in the 1930s come these 65 negatives from numerous trials that covered escapes from Alcatraz, including exterior and interior shots of the prison off the shore of San Francisco. The images range from 1934 to 1939 and include prisoners, attorneys and even the warden. One packet describes Al Capone's arrival at Alcatraz via train. An "arresting" collection for sure.
