The 1979 Cincinnati Reds reclaimed the National West crown from the Dodgers for the first time since the days of the Big Red Machine three years earlier, albeit only to fall to the eventual World Series Champion Pittsburgh Pirates in the NLCS. As a prize for winning the division, Reds ownership awarded players and staff with wristwatches such as this one from the private collection of George Foster and comes with a letter from the slugging outfielder. The Seiko Quartz watch is all-original and has Foster's number "15" on the face with the Reds logo and "National League West Champions 79." It requires some TLC to get it working and there's some tarnishing on the band but is in VG condition.
