One year before capturing the National League MVP, Cincinnati slugger George Foster earned the Sporting News NL Player of the Year in 1976, capping off a fulfilling season in which Foster's Big Red Machine swept the World Series for their second consecutive title. Foster led the league with 121 RBI, the first of three straight seasons he would pace the circuit. The Bulova Accuquartz is all-original but needs some tuning to get it to keep time. It is in NRMT condition and comes with an LOA from Foster himself. Engraved on the stainless steel back is: "BULOVA THE SPORTING NEWS GEORGE FOSTER NATIONAL LEAGUE PLAYER OF THE YEAR 1979."
