The Texas Rangers struggled with a 77-85 record in 1997 but it wasn't Juan Gonzalez's fault. The All-Star outfielder amassed 42 home runs and 131 RBI despite missing the first month of the season. He caught fire down the stretch, batting .337 with 10 homers and 26 RBI in September, meriting this American League Player of the Month award. The 10" x 10" marble and glass trophy is in EX-MT condition but for the bottom corner of the glass that is chipped. However, it is not really noticeable when the glass is inserted into the base. There is a slight bend to the molding as well.
