Shocking 2004 Belmont Stakes winner Birdstone made a name for himself by bucking 36-1 odds to prevail, preventing overwhelming favorite Smarty Jones from copping the Triple Crown. Now you can own this handsome, brown saddle cloth the thoroughbred wore at Churchill Downs that season. It measures 45" x 36" and features the 2004 Kentucky Derby patch emblazoned next to the white number 13. The stallion's name is stitched in white underneath the number, and there are also American flag and NTRA patches. The saddle cloth shows excellent wear with numerous dirt stains. Birdstone also won the Grade 1 Champagne and Travers, but his Belmont triumph was recognized with an Eclipse Award as Horse Racing's NTRA Moment of the Year. Though he did not take home the Kentucky Derby crown, Birdstone did go on to sire Derby winner Mine That Bird and Belmont champ Summer Bird.
