Giorgio Chinaglia passed away back in April, but his legacy will never die. A 22-year pro soccer star, the Italian enjoyed his greatest success playing alongside Pele and Franz Beckenbauer with the New York Cosmos during the late '70s. This thin, light New York jersey features the team logo and #9 sewn on the front and "CHINAGLIA 9" stitched on the reverse. The collared, V-necked shirt has tagging in the collar from Ellesse and various size numbers from various countries. Chinaglia personally gave the jersey as a gift to beat writer Ike Kuhn. Shows good use. Chinaglia scored 231 goals during his 10 seasons with the Cosmos, ranking #1 not only in franchise history, but also in the history of the North American Soccer League.
