This Rogers Hornsby professional model bat is from the late 1930s but, at 24 o.z and 33", is too light and short for Hornsby to have used himself. It's made of very good wood and is the same as he would have used in any game. It shows a lot of use - there are some nails holding together a crack on the back of the barrel. This bat is a very nice specimen of the era.
