From the two original series of Joe Palooka comic books, these 51 vintage books are overall VG except for some very high-grade issues, which are VG or better. Those issues are 14, 16-20, 36, 39, 40, 57, 52, 58 and 60. Perhaps most important is the rare "Joe Palooka Visits the Lost City." This huge, 50-cent issue has some spine roll but otherwise is in VG condition. The earliest is from the Columbia Comic Corporation series begun in 1942, with three of the four issues here: #1 (GD), #3 (slightly erased “x” on anti-Nazi cover otherwise strong FN) and #4 (VG). Second is the Harvey Publication’s series begun in 1945. Grading is accurate and on the conservative side.
