On June 23, 1969 at Madison Square Garden in New York heavyweight champion Joe Frazier defended his title against tough Jerry Quarry. In between rounds 7 and 8 the referee stopped the fight because of the bad cut to Quarry's eye. Ring Magazine named this the Fight Of The Year. Offered here are Jerry Quarry's robe and trunks from the fight. Beautiful pink velour with white and gold trim and piping. The robe is thigh length and includes the sash. Both are lined in white satin. In excellent condition. LOA from boxing manager Steve Lott who purchased these from the Quarry family and also offered with a video of the fight showing Quarry wearing both the robe and trunks.
