This chair housed sports fans who saw the likes of Mel Ott, Willie Mays, Frank Gifford and Joe Dempsey in person. It's an original, functional, free-standing seat from the fabled Polo Grounds, which was demolished in 1964. Comprised of wood and metal, the 20x30" seat is green, though some orange paint is revealed. As with any stadium seat, there was exposure to the elements and some weathering shows. Some paint is missing but that which remains is authentic, making it a real treasure. As a bonus, this was an aisle end seat and has the desirable cast-iron "NY" on one side. There are two bolts that have been replaced for stabilization purposes.
