This stadium seat was installed when Braves Field was first built, in 1915. It measures 32" tall, and features the original wood, paint, and metal. There are no breaks or cracks, but is certainly weathered, as many seats are. It has the number "4" painted on it in white. Boston's Braves Field was the first stadium with over 40,000 seats, and competed with the then-newly built Fenway Park. The first game, on August 18, 1915, saw the Braves and the St. Louis Cardinals battle it out on the field. Over 45,000 (more people than seats!) fans packed the stadium and watched the Braves win 3-1.
