Sure to make 19th Century baseball collectors weak in the knees is this gorgeous scorecard printed for Boston's meeting with Philadelphia. The scorecard is completely filled out for both teams and the overall condition is VG. The card dates from the late 1880's and exhibits a Victorian motif. The colors of the illustration are bold and vibrant, incredibly so considering the age of the paper document and features the image of an out-fielder catching a ball with the title Home Run Spoiled printed across the bottom. The center fold line has some paper separation and there is 1 ?” tear on the back side. There are some minor edge tears and damage, but the tonal quality is good and all of the writing is completely legible. Some of the notable players on Boston's team are "Hos" Radbourn and Joe Hornung and Philadelphia's Joe Mulvey and Sid Farrar.
