A pair of gloves worn by Cuban boxing phenomenon Kid Gavilan in the year of his triumphant World Welterweight Championship. Considered the great Cuban fighter (apologies to Teofilo Stevenson), Gavilan wore these gloves at his rematch with Johnny Bratton, the man he took the Welterweight belt from only five months previous. Amazingly the gloves are inscribed inside both gloves and signed "Kid Gavilan 11/28/51" in faded pen from the day he gave these away. In excellent condition with nice use.
