Legendary fight promoter George L. Rickard was signing major deals before Don King was even born. Made apparent on this lease agreement, Rickard leased Yankee stadium for boxing matches in 1927 and 1928 and was trying to have the Dempsey vs. Tunney fight held there. Notations on the document are penned by Yankee owner, Jake Ruppert in black ink. The lease is 11 pages with American League Baseball Club of N.Y. corporate seal. Both Ruppert and Rickard signed on the same page and both signatures rate a 9/10. Signature is very rare and it reads “George L. Rickard” The document itself is EX with typical mailing folds.
