This lot comes directly from the personal collection of Cap Anson himself.
Thirteen images, twelve of which are real photos and one that is a print. They span the years of the late 1880's up to the time of his death in the early 1920's. Images with his wife, on the lawn of the White House with President Harding, a cabinet card (bottom cut off), mounted portrait wearing tuxedo (by Rembrandt Studios), wearing a top hat, real photo postcard driving an automobile, real photo postcard advertising "Captain Adrian C. Pop Anson & Daughters in A Baseball Skit", and more. Also included are two vintage proofs of satirical artworks with Anson depicted in them. Condition ranges from PR to VG and sizes vary from 3.5”x3.5” on up to 11”x15.5”
