Penned by Cap Anson on his official city clerk letterhead complete with a City of Chicago seal, this is a personal letter dated February 18th, 1907. The letter has significant baseball content and refers to the “Anson Ball Park” that he was trying to get built at the time. It is addressed to Anson family members and is written on both sides with his signature reading “Pa Pa Anson” on the back. The writing and signature grade 8/10 with the signature slightly smudged and the letter itself is EX with typical mailing folds.
