Absolutely marvelous red wool, leather-sleeved jacket from the 1940 Cincinnati Reds championship season where the Ohio club did their 1939 National League title one better (the Yankees beat them in that Fall Classic) and conquered the Detroit Tigers, 4 games to 3, for only their second World Series title. That terrific team included standouts such as N.L. MVP’s Frank McCormick and Ernie Lombardi, Paul Derringer, Bucky Walters, Lonny Frey, Ival Goodman, Harry Craft, and Lew Riggs. Manufacturer’s tag has fallen out of collar, with just size 44 tag remaining. Jacket has one moth hole and a few minute repairs (just mentioned for accuracy), while right sleeve has a hole near bottom, an area that exhibits heavy wear.
