Sergeant Frank Preston of the Northwest Mounted Police battled heroically against the myriad forces of frontier villainy in the popular 1955-58 television series. At the time, Quaker Puffed Wheat produced a wonderful set of eight cardboard packages with colorful cutouts of riverboats, buildings, background scenery, and animals, allowing young fans to help civilize the wild Yukon River. Among the items included, each unpunched sheet measuring approximately 12" x 9", are: a complete lumber camp, a paddlewheeler and landing pier, Mounted Police Headquarters, Sgt. Preston's own rustic cabin, a mining camp, and background scenes of Klondike Mountain, a waterfall, and others, as well as all the local critters and a dog team led by the legendary Yukon King. Overall condition of this amazingly complete set of eight unpunched cutouts is EX+. As old fans, we were sorely tempted to set everything up and relive some very good times from long ago.
