A Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig autographed baseball from the year of 1927. Man, is that cool. Well, here it is. Official Ban Johnson American League ball from that magical of seasons has black fountain signatures of both The Sultan of Swat and The Iron Horse, uniformly solid and appealing. Ruth is on the sweet spot, and Gehrig on another panel to the left. Both autographs are in black fountain pen, and fall in the 8/10 range. Reach AL ball has excellent markings and a lovely patina, preserved wonderfully for nearly eighty years. Excellent condition. Babe Ruth jacked 60 in that season, knocking in 164 runs in the process. Gehrig only clubbed 47, but drove in 175, and hit .373, helping garner the American League MVP for his trophy case. For serious fans or collectors, a baseball like this is just about as good as it gets.
