These two sets led off what many consider to be the last great decade of Topps baseball cards. It is hard to imagine these sets are now 35+ years old. The 1970 set has (4) cards which have been professionally graded PSA 6 EX-MT. Included are #'s 140 Jackson, 189 Munson, 350 Clemente, and 640 Kaline. Additional cards included are # 10 Yastrzemski, 220 Carlton EX, 300 Seaver EX-MT, 459 Jackson AS EX-MT, 580 Rose EX-MT (oc) and 712 Ryan EX, all checklists are unmarked. The balance of the set grades 15% NM, 50% EX-MT, 30% EX, 5% slightly lesser. The 1971 Topps set has become highly sought after by collectors because it is so difficult to find in decent shape because of the condition sensitive black borders. Highlights include # 5 Munson EX-MT, 20 Jackson EX, 100 Rose EX, 160 Seaver EX, 300 B. Robinson NRMT, 400 Aaron EX (oc t/b), 513 Ryan EX-MT, 525 Banks EX, 530 Yastrzemski, 600 Mays EX-MT, 630 Clemente EX. The remaining balance of the set is 5% NRMT, 40% EX-MT, 40% EX, 15% slightly lesser. It should be noted the difficult high #'s are consistent with the condition breakdown of the rest of the set.
