Pow! Superman Strikes! Just looking at this piece of orginal art from the “Superman in the Jungle” Topps card series, you can almost feel the pain that the Man of Steel is inflicting. No wonder when it came to capturing Superman the way his fans loved to see him, Topps looked no further than comic illustrator Norman Saunders. The black & white ink artwork for all 66 of the original 1966 Superman in the Jungle cards from Topps came from Saunders, including number 54. There are some yellow marks on the piece. A “Superman Strikes” caption sticker is attached to the lower left of the card which measures approx 3 1/2” x 5”. It’s one thing to collect the cards, but here’s your opportunity to get the original--the rare (only 66 in total) card art, hand-drawn by Norman.
