After a bitter hold out sent the Cincinnati Reds third baseman back to the New York Giants, Heinie Groh was just in time to make another World Series appearance with the team that gave him his start in the Majors. Wielder of the famed bottle bat and so much more was awarded this diamond ring following the Giants' 1922 World Series sweep of their cross-town foes, the New York Yankees. "Henry K. Groh" engraved inside the band in elegant cursive near the 14 karat stamp. Top is a massive diamond (partially chipped on the left side) and "Giants World's Champions" in raised text on banners spanning two panels. The year "1922" on left shank. Detail on sides of the ring are slightly worn down, but overall EX except for above mentioned chip to the diamond. Originally from a Groh relative. It must be noted that the 1922 Giants were the first team in history to award all players with rings.
