Amazing selection of advertising signs came from a find down South made about a decade ago. Ranging in size from 8x10” to 11x17” they are extremely attractive sepia pieces with the great players of the 1940s and 1950s (and before) in vivid designs. We have seen examples of a few of these signs here and there since the 1970s. This is the first quantity ever discovered. Specimens from this find were sold on eBay until about five years ago at which time they were taken off the market. Distributors displayed them in sporting goods stores during the 1940s and 1950s in light cardboard. There are 10 different in this group that represents the rest of the quantity; the group represents an eBay business unto itself, never to be seen again: 1) Circa 1956 Mickey Mantle Rawlings Gloves with legendary clubhouse man Pete Sheehy. 174 pieces. 2) 1956 Mickey Mantle Rawlings Gloves They’re Here! 8x10”. 66 pieces. 3) 1956 Mickey Mantle Louisville Slugger Gunning for New Home Run Record. 11x17”. 118 pieces. 4) Stan Musial Look At The Record!
