Incredible content letter written by his attorney to the banned Joe Jackson. Working on getting the balance of his Chicago White Sox contract paid off it goes into mind boggling depth: “How you did come to sign the contract (he was pushed into it by Comiskey's henchman)…Did you make any written confession at any time, that you had anything to do with the 1919 World Series scandal? I am going to examine Comiskey and Graebner before the court commissioner in Chicago, within the next week…I want to trim Comiskey, if it is the last thing I do, and I am sure we will be able to do it without any trouble.” It is signed “R.J. Cannon” and dated March 12, 1923. We know that Mr. Cannon was wrong by the outcome of history. EX+ with original envelope, this was obtained from the family of Joe Jackson.
