Leather bound scrapbook put together by the family of the 1900’s ballplayer Matty McIntyre. An 11-seasaon veteran mostly with Detroit, the scrapbook is all photos (most 4x3”) and most are identified. 1) Ton of Detroit Tiger player photos with Sam Crawford (3), Hugh Jennings (2), Bobby Lowe, and stadium action of major game. Best of all is a fabulous 7x3” complete team photo that could be as early as 1905 with the only pic of Ty Cobb (they hated each other). 2) Some amazing photos of 1900s Cuban Baseball Tour. American players are a Tampa (Florida) team featuring many major leaguers. Includes game action, several on the wreck of the Maine, and on the boat to Cuba. 3) NY Giants players including Joe McGinnity (2), and Jack Dunn (discovered Babe Ruth). 4) Many others - all kinds of terrific stuff including poses with black children, adults & mascots (most are from Key West en route to Cuba); and even a “Jew.” Consigned by the family, this 14x11” beauty features 100+ pages filled with 600 photographs.
