Most unusual and wonderful find of these humorous Rittgers plaster figurines in fine, EX-MT condition. 6 figurines altogether (makes up two sets), including two batters, two umpires, & two pitchers. The pitchers and batters all have angry looks on their faces, the umpires are seemingly aloof and unaffected. Wonderfully painted with virtually no chipping or paint loss! The batters wear the numbers “7” and “4” on their uniforms. The pitchers wear the numbers “5” and “8”. You can pose them any way you want: make the players glower at each other in a standoff, or make them gang up on the umpires. Shortest figure is 5” tall, tallest is 8”. One umpire and the 2 of the largest players carry the signature, “L.L. Rittgers, 1941.”
