Sixteen gorgeous 19x13” black & white posters with full color cigarette pack advertising feature the great baseball stars of the era. The most important posters have Fatima and Piedmont advertising. The best of the best here are posed team photos: 1915 Red Sox with Babe Ruth (also Hooper, Collins, Wood, Shore, Mays, and Carrigan), 1917 Chicago White Sox with Joe Jackson (also Collins, Cicotte, Weaver, McMullin, Gandil, Gleason, Williams), 1915 National League Champion Philadelphia Phillies with G.C. Alexander, 1915 Brooklyn Robins with Wheat Robinson, and Stengel. Plus 1917 NY Giants World Series montage. You will also see such dead ball era stars as Stengel and Wheat “Brooklyn Leads National League Race”, Boston’s Speaker and Lewis, Max Carey, Stan Covaleski, Bob Shawkey, Roger Bresnahan, GC Alexander and 1917 World Series scoreboard. Note: all the key posters have Piedmont and Fatima advertising! There is also a wonderful group of 87 news of the day. These include about 20 WWI (recruiting posters, dirigible, Palestine, German Internment Camps), fishing Army Navy Football, Pancho Villa, Flatiron Building, news photographer, Liggett-Myers at Panama-Pacific Exposition, Bicycle/Motorcycle/Auto Racing.
